Where not to buy your puppy

It is usually inadvisable to buy from the following sources:

Internet - without first visiting breeder and seeing pups and their Mum.

Free papers or classified ads.

Pet shops or stores.

Breeders who keep and sell many breeds of dog - (it is possible they may be dealers).

Never buy without seeing the pup together with its Mum.

Never take up offer of breeder to meet you somewhere to sell and hand over a pup (unseen).

Don’t buy from someone who says they are selling the puppy for a friend/relative etc.

Breeders who say they have not had their breeding stock at least heart and eye tested - and who say that there is no need to do so.
